DELIVERY DRIVER

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for delivering daily flowers to clients, businesses and event spaces safety and efficiently. You must use your own vehicle, or may be able to use company vehicle only as necessary to fit large orders. Daily work begins mid to late morning but will usually cease by mid day, ensuring the flexibility of another part time afternoon job or afternoon off. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Make safe and efficient deliveries from Matriarch location to customers within trade area

Make on-time deliveries within a set delivery time window (if applicable)

Provide friendly service and the highest level of hospitality to our customers, including answering customer questions and retrieving payment as needed

Ensure a high quality and accuracy of the flower order using the checklist and observation, starting at the studio through the time of delivery

At the studio; check and validate the order with the check list from the studio manager

Load all delivery orders, up to 30 pounds, in the delivery vehicle

Take part in local Matriarch marketing efforts, as you are a representation of the Matriarch brand upon delivery. 

Miscellaneous tasks at the studio as needed

Primary Tasks are packaging or delivery related

Cleaning delivery equipment/ transportation vehicles 

Assemble floral boxes with necessary branding 

Assist with large scale drop offs, including for weddings and large events

Capable of working safely and efficiently with a fast-paced environment

Occasional flower and plant pick up from the flower market in Downtown LA

QUALIFICATIONS:

All drivers must be 18 years of age

Need access to reliable transportation to make deliveries

Own a working cell phone

Must be able to pass the Motor Vehicle Check requirements

Posses a valid drivers license and proof of insurance

Need to be able to work a flexible schedule

FLORAL DESIGN ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated self starter to join our floral design department. We are excited about growing our team as we maintain a busy schedule. As a floral designer at Matriarch you will play the very important role of caring for and processing our flowers, creating floral arrangements, assisting and installing arrangements in client’s homes, assisting with florals at high end hotel accounts and assisting with design for weddings and large scale events. 

We are currently looking for someone who would be available 20 hours per week. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Create floral arrangements based on Kelsey’s selections

Daily buying at the DTLA flower market from select vendors

Assist with processing and care for flowers

Assist with organizing and flowers, and keeping buckets cleaned

Assist with keeping the studio organized, stocked and cleaned

Assist with labeling and packaging candles, soaps and house made goods

Assist with setting and styling hard goods onsite when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

GED or High School Diploma

1 – 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse, production or floral environment preferred 

Valid CA drivers license and vehicle able to hold large boxes plus valid car insurance.

Team player with a "make it happen" mindset

1-2 years previous floral design experience preferred but not necessary

Demonstrate care and consciousness while handling materials

Display great attention to detail and excellent eye for design

Ability to work well under pressure

Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 40 lbs

STUDIO MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting in running the daily operations of the floral studio and helping to maintain the smooth workflow of tactical functions. The Studio Manager will play an integral role in major duties including all flower inventory for weekly accounts and clients houses, gifting items, flower pick-up, occasional delivery, scheduling delivery route for driver,  collecting & categorizing receipts, reordering supplies, making sure orders are input into our daily calendar, ensuring all deliveries are successfully delivered by communicating with driver/recipient if necessary, updating website, assisting in organizing studio and keeping all items well stocked, being the main point of contact for prospective clients, etc! 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for cataloging and organizing floral studio inventory.

Assists with the maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles.

Assists with the daily preparation, transporting and storage of all floral and event décor including glassware, clippers, buckets, and fresh flowers.

Assists with updating the inventory system/website with images and stock quantities.

Performs regular audits of floral products like vases, boxes, tissue, and gift box items. 

Reviews incoming orders to identify items that need to be packed, prepped.

Assists in the coordination of staff for successful production, shipping, receiving and inventory duties/assignments.

Communicating with clients via email in a professional way, including brides, event planners and daily clients. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

GED or High School Diploma

1 – 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse, production, assistant role or floral environment - not necessary but preferred. 

Valid CA drivers license and vehicle plus valid car insurance. 

Basic computer skills, i.e. e-mail, data entry, etc.

Familiarity with mac, numbers, photoshop, squarespace & quickbooks.

Capable of working safely and efficiently with a fast-paced environment

Ability to maintain a neat, organized and safe work environment

Ability to safely lift, pack and move objects that weigh up to 40 lbs.

Strong understanding of how to pack and unpack items without causing damage.

Extremely organized individual who is able to self-start.
